New Club Reef, also known as NCR, is an artificial reef, created by the diving community, to enrich marine life in this area. The dive site consists of reefballs, concrete blocks, tires and bicycles. It forms an underwater landscape with sufficient shelter to function as a habitat for stingrays, crabs, cuttlefish and batfish.
Particulars
New Club Reef is located 57 kilometers from Doha and can only be reached by four-wheel drive vehicles. Enter the water and take a close look at the reefballs, blocks, tires and bicycles to spot marine life.
Warnings
Be careful when parking at New Club Reef. Your car can easily get stuck in the sand. Bring enough water and food. There are no facilities or shops in the immediate vicinity.
