INLAND SEA
Qatar
Inland Sea is a beautiful dive site at Khor Al Odaid in the southernmost tip of Qatar. The dive site is sheltered in a beautiful area full of sand and dunes. It consists of three reefs that are all accessible from the shore. The first reef is close to the beach, in front of the dunes. Underwater, a car wreck plays the role of artificial reef for an abundance of fish. From this reef you can also reach the second and third reef. The latter is the largest. You'll come across a large biodiversity of marine life, such as batfish, stingrays, crabs and sometimes a turtle.
Particulars
Inland Sea is only accessible for four-wheel drive vehicles. You can reach the location in 45 minutes, from the Sealine Resort, with stunning views of the Saudi Arabian coastline. Enjoy the exceptional beauty of this area with the desert behind you and the sea in front of you. Sometimes you can see dolphins swimming by, while the desert wind blows through your hair.
Warnings
Inland Sea is very remote. Never travel alone. Be careful with parking. Your car can easily get stuck in the sand or get under water with the rising tide. Bring enough water and food. There are no facilities or stores in the area.
