SHAG ROCK

Shag Rock is a small island at 200 meters from the north side of Santa Barbara Island. The island is surrounded by rocky reefs with here and there some kelp forests. In the sand between the reefs halibut lie buried in the sand and between the kelp sea lions hunt for fish.
Particulars
Shag Rock is regularly visited by live-aboards. Descend in search of halibut and lobsters in an environment of sandy bottoms, rocky reefs and kelp. Every now and then you may be surprised by a sea lion.
Warnings
Diving at Shag Rock only takes place under calm weather conditions. Beware of high waves. Shag Rock is a dive site for all levels, but watch out for waves and bad weather conditions.
