HOLE IN THE WALL
Aruba
Hole in the wall is a beautiful, varied dive site with several entry points and routes. Enter the water from the jetty, next to the jetty or via the beach a little further on. Dive east- or westward towards Mangel Halto dive site. Dive over the beautiful, sloping wall with its corals and rich variety of marine life. Hole in the wall is also recommended as a night dive spot.
Particulars
The best way to enter the water at Hole in the Wall is from the jetty but take care, the water is shallow. Swim out for 100 meters with the jetty straight in front of you to avoid high waves. Descend where you can see some light spots between the rocks and the coral. Now dive in the direction of your choice. Pay attention at the landmark (see photo) to leave the water at the right spot. Turn around after 30 minutes or exit at Mangel Halto, when diving from the beach.
Warnings
Hole in the wall has some hazards at the entry point. There are some slippery stones and rocks next to jetty and a giant leap from the jetty is impossible due to shallow water. Take a deco buoy with you in case you have to ascend in deep water. Current ca
