Easy dive site
Cacaofabriek (Cacao factory) is a shallow canal dive. Dive under the bridge - the bridge pillars are beautifully overgrown - and spot huge pike and carp, with sometimes up to 10 meters visibility. There is no shipping traffic in this part of the Zuidwillemsvaart.
Particulars
Enter the water by using the stairs and dive past the bridge and back. Take your time at the reeds on the north side. The water is shallow but full of life. The Cacao fabriek is at its best in sunny weather, the sunlight creates a mysterious atmosphere under the bridge.
Warnings
Poor visibility during or after windy weather. The cars and trains running over the bridge, cause severe but harmless vibrations. A free ascend under the bridge is impossible.
