GELDROPSE VENTWEG
Nederland, Noord Brabant
The Geldropse Ventweg is a very shallow dive site in the Eindhovens kanaal (Eindhovens canal). It doesn't get any deeper than 2.5 meters. Diving takes place under a bridge where you'll find all kinds of objects, such as truck tires, refrigerators, bicycles and monitors. Everything is completely overgrown and forms a habitat for all kinds of life forms. You'll encounter sun bass, eels, perches and crayfish and much more.
Particulars
Enter the water where the cycle path crosses the Geldropse Ventweg (see map). It's a quite easy spot to enter the water. Dive best close to the banks and at the foundations of the bridge. Look between the cracks under the wooden concrete foundations of the bridge to spot the sun bass.
Warnings
The Geldropse Ventweg is located in the Eindhovens canal, where intensive rowing takes place. Avoid days when the rowers are active. Shallow dive site. Ensure optimal buoyancy in order not to swirl up the bottom. No groups.
