Cenote Car Wash is one of the most popular cenotes in Mexico. Everyone can dive there, from novice divers to experienced cave divers. Dive in the open water area of the cavern or in the deeper cave system. The system is very impressive and consists of numerous passages and chambers. The name Car Wash refers to earlier times when mainly taxi drivers used the cenote to wash their car.
Particulars
Cenote Car Wash is situated next to a main road. Park close to the water, prepare your set on one of the benches and jump from the jetty into the water. What you will encounter is a beautiful underwater world full of plants, rock formations, schools of aquarium fish and an occasional turtle.
Warnings
Cenote Car Wash's cave system is only suitable for experienced cave divers. Limit yourself to the open water of the cavern if you don't have a cave diving license.
