CYCLOPS
Cyprus
Cyclops is one of the most beautiful dive sites of Cape Greco on the island of Cyprus. The site takes its name from a cave where the mythical one-eyed cyclops is said to hide. For now mostly moray eels, lionfish, turtles, squid and groupers are seen. A rocky sloping bottom leads to a semi-submerged cavern called Cyclops Cave. Cyclops is a versatile dive site suitable for night diving, deep diving, snorkeling and more.
Particulars
Cyclops can be reached from shore or by boat. The latter is preferred because accessibility from shore is not ideal. You have to walk down a steep sandy path and then enter the water from a rocky shore. Your dive starts at a depth of 2 meters after which you slowly descend to possibly more than 40 meters.
Warnings
Dive site Cyclops is difficult to reach from the shore. A boat dive is recommended.
