DA COSTA
Cyprus
Dive site Da Costa is a beautiful, quiet dive site that is perfect for beginning divers and dive training. The site is sheltered and has a slowly sloping bottom. There is also plenty to see. Between just 2 and 4 meters you sometimes encounter turtles and a little deeper there are a number of statues including a mermaid, a lion and a dwarf. On the bottom grows sea grass where squid hide and lay their eggs. Other species occasionally spotted in Da Costa are sea horses and barracudas.
Particulars
La Costa is accessible from the shore. You can enter the water via steps from a rocky shore. The gradually sloping bottom is rocky with patches of sand and sea grass here and there.
