MUSEUM OF UNDERWATER SCULPTURE
Cyprus
The Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa, also known as MUSAN, is one of a kind. It's an underwater sculpture museum consisting of more than 93 works of art in different shapes and sizes. Combining nature and art, MUSAN creates a unique and magical experience in the azure waters of Cyprus. Divers discover interesting shapes of trees, people and other figurative symbols at the bottom of the sea. The exhibit was created by award-winning sculptor, environmentalist and professional underwater photographer, Jason deCaires Taylor. The artwork is made of inert, pH-neutral materials. Paid diving.
Particulars
The Museum of Underwater Sculpture Ayia Napa is located in the popular resort of Ayia Napa on the island of Cyprus. Book a dive with one of the local diving schools. Then sign up at the visitor center and enter the water from Pernera Beach Ayia Napa. You're ready for a special dive. Underwater you'll see statues of trees, children and numerous other objects. The idea is that nature will take over. There's no final product but a constantly changing environment in which eventually marine flora and fauna will play a leading role.
