Forellensee is a dive site in Nordhausen, Germany, with a beautiful green area and a number of practice platforms. The platforms are located at depths of 6, 9 and 15 meters and are connected by lines. Visibility is reasonably good with values between 5 and 15 meters. Most fish are spotted in the green zone between 4 and 16 meters. The most common species are pike, perch, roach and carp. The name Forellensee refers to a time when trout were farmed in this site. The Forellensee is an old gravel mine.
Particulars
Forellensee lies east of Sundhäuser See in the gravel mining area Goldene Aue. The water can be entered via stairs at the diving school. Now dive to the right to spot eels and dive left to encounter old tree trunks and other objects.
