The Fernstein lake is one of the hundred most beautiful dive sites in the world. The water is crystal clear, with a maximum visibility of up to 50 meters. The underwater world of the Fernstein lake is surreal. Diving is easy. The lake is open and clear and no deeper than 17 meters. Access for hotel guests only.
Particulars
The Fernstein lake has 4 entry points, where you park right next to the water. Everywhere the emerald green water is crystal clear. The lake is covered with thick tree trunks that are criss-crossed like a gigantic Mikado-game. The trees covered with slimy algae give the lake something magical.
Warnings
Mountain lake with cold water (4 to 7 degrees) at 1000 meters above sea level. Diving only for hotel guests, a minimum of two overnight stays is required. Don't touch the bottom. Scuba practice not allowed.
