CAVES
Egypte
Caves is the most southern dive site of Dahab accessible by car. It's a beautiful but dramatic dive site that can only be dived in calm conditions. The name Caves is not immediately appropriate as it doesn't refer to caves. They are rather large coral formations that in some places form huge canopies of soft corals, sponges and black corals. Bring a dive lamp for the best experience.
Particulars
Caves lies in the south of Dahab. Park on the beach and enter the water with a giant leap from the rocky shore. The overhangs are located directly below the entry point. Descend to explore this special biotope. The sandy bottoms and reefs around the overhangs are equally beautiful.
Warnings
Diving at Caves is only possible in calm conditions. Don't dive at Caves when there are waves on the shore. You'll not be able to make a safe leap into the water. Bring a dive lamp with you.
