DANIA EROJACKS

Erojacks are large concrete structures constructed off the coast of Fort Lauderdale as a large artificial reef. Over time this has become a wonderful dive site where you can see parrotfish, nurse sharks, lobsters, tarpons and occasionally even turtles. The jacks are three meters high and are about a hundred meters from shore.
Particulars
The Erojacks Reef is located in the Dr. Von D Mitzell Johnson State Park about 100 yards from Dania Pier. Park at the first parking lot on your right. Unpack your gear and walk across the bridge to the beach. Then enter the water and swim out to the reef. The starting point is marked with a white stone pillar. The Erojacks Reef is 225 meters long and a delight for divers, snorkelers and underwater photographers.
Warnings
Watch out for boats at Dania Erojacks. Make use of a diving buoy.
