The Cruz del Sur is 87.5-meter cargo ship build in 1956 that sailed from Georgetown into the Cayman Islands. Now part of the Miami-Dade County Artificial Reef program, the Cruz del Sur is one of the largest artificial reefs off the coast of Miami. It's a beautiful wreck. The Cruz del Sur is beautifully overgrown and provides shelter for large schools of fish. The wreck lies at a depth of 60 meters, making it suitable only for technical divers.

The Cruz del Sur can be reached by boat. Book an organized dive trip with a local dive school or guide and make sure you are well prepared. It's a dark dive site so bring an extra dive lamp.
