EL CONDESITO
Spanje
El Condesito is the wreck of a 44-meter cargo ship that sank in the early 1970s near Las Galletas, Tenerife. The El Condesito was carrying cement for the construction of the Spanish town of Los Cristianos, but the ship ran into the rocks and never made it to its destination. The El Condesito is located near the lighthouse, Faro de Punta Rasca, which was specially constructed to prevent further incidents in this area. The El Condesito is one of the most unique wrecks in Tenerife. The ship lies in sections at a depth of 20 meters between the walls of an undersea canyon, surrounded by fish and other marine life.
Particulars
The El Condesito can be reached in 5 minutes from the port of Las Galletas. Descend and enjoy a dive between the rocks on a fascinating dive wreck that is accessible to almost all divers. But beware, sudden increasing current can make this dive a lot more challenging.
Warnings
There can be pleasure boats in the surroundings of the El Condesito. Use a surface buoy if necessary. Beware of increasing currents.
