Gänsedrecksee is a very beautiful diving lake in Bavaria, Germany. The site has everything you would expect from a freshwater lake; good visibility, dense vegetation to a depth of 10 meters and great biodiversity. You'll encounter pike, eels, catfish and sometimes sturgeon. The Gänsedrecksee is relatively shallow with a somewhat deeper crater in the middle of the lake. Visibility is usually excellent. Reserve in advance. Paid diving. Diving is only possible in summer time. Take notice of opening hours.
Particulars
The Gänsedrecksee can be reached via the northern entrance to the Binsfeldsee. The lake is part of the Binsfeld recreation area. The parking lot is relatively close to the entry point. A couple of small stairway lead to the water which is quite shallow on the shore. The lake is elongated. You can dive north and south.

To dive in the Gänsedrecksee, registration is required. Very limited number of divers per day. Paid diving. Take notice of opening hours.
