The Kuhuntersee is a beautiful diving lake in Bavaria, Germany. What to expect? Good visibility, lots of vegetation and great biodiversity. Common species are pike, perch and eels but you can also encounter catfish and sturgeon. Visibility is usually excellent because a very limited number of divers are allowed daily. With a maximum depth of 10 meters, the Kuhuntersee is relatively shallow. Reserve in advance. Paid diving. Diving is only possible in summer time. Take notice of opening hours.
Particulars
The Kuhuntersee can be reached via the southern entrance to the Binsfeldsee. The lake is part of the Binsfeld recreation area near Speyer. The parking lot is relatively close to the entry point. You enter the water from an overgrown sandy shore.
