UNTERGROMBACH
Duitsland
Untergrombach, also called Metzgerallmendsee Untergrombach, is an old quarry near Karlsruhe in Germany. The spot has limited biodiversity but is not without marine life. Untergrombach is home to roaches, pike, carp and an occasional sturgeon. Still, Untergrombach is interesting enough due to its attractive underwater world of boulders, trees and branches. There are also two wrecks to be found. Deep diving is not interesting in Untergrombach. From 12 meters, the water is almost white due to suspended sediment. This is experience by diver as a layer of white fog. Paid parking.
Particulars
Untergrombach is located south of Bruchsal between the A5 and B3. Divers are only allowed to enter the water on the east side. Avoid the shallow pool area and enter the water at one of the two entrances to the lake, next to the small island.
Warnings
Untergrombach has several zones. Diving in the nature zones on the north and south side and in the bathing zone, behind the small island on the east side, is not allowed. Night diving limited, the parking lot closes at 10 pm.
