Mako's Mountain 2 is a dive site with high waves and a limited to strong current. Some diving experience is therefore required. Turtles, triggerfish, barracudas, eagle rays and other large species are permanent residents at this dive site. You won't find any Mako sharks. Still, Mako's Mountain owes its name to this fish. It's said that one has been spotted here. Diving at Mako's Mountain 2 is only possible under calm weather conditions and preferably with a local guide.
Particulars
Mako's Mountain 2 is located near Santa Martha Bay, between Hell's Corner and Mako's Moutain 1. The site is only accessible by boat and stands out for its large, healthy coral fields. Enjoy your dive in search of moray eels, lobsters and parrotfish, while schools of barracudas and tuna occasionally pass you by.
Warnings
Diving at Mako's Mountain requires some experience. Diving at this location is only possible under calm weather conditions and preferably with a local guide. The use of a surface buoy is mandatory on Curaçao.
