Curaçao
Smokey's, also called Punti Sanchi, is a beautiful dive site near the Fuikbaai (Fuik Bay). Dive over this virgin reef with large corals, sea fans and vase sponges. This pristine environment is regularly visited by reef sharks, barracudas, turtles and rays. Due to the high waves and the sometimes hard and changing currents, Smokey's is only suitable for experienced divers.
Particulars
Smokey's can be reached by boat. The dive site is ideal as a drift dive site. Let the current take you from Smokey's to Kathy's Paradise. Enter the water at the buoy, where the boat moors. The reef slopes down to 30 meters and then turns into a sandy bottom.
Warnings
Smokey's lies near Fuikbaai (Fuik Bay), where there is a lot of pleasure boating. The use of a surface buoy is mandatory on Curaçao. Lots of waves and currents. Currents can change direction.
