Challenging dive site
Best Reef is a turbulent dive site on the east coast of Curaçao with eagle rays, nurse sharks, barracudas and more. If you want to see large marine life, come to Best Reef. The reef is healthy and densely overgrown, with some luck you might also spot the rare black coral.
Particulars
Diving at Best Reef is only possible from a boat. Enter the water, swim in the direction of the reef and go under. You will reach a shallow plateau with several coral species, such as fan and moose coral. At 6 meters the reef descends steeply to more than 36 meters.
Warnings
Best Reef sometimes has a strong current and high waves. The use of a surface buoy is mandatory on Curaçao.
