Like Best Reef, Black Rock is a dive site with healthy coral and relatively many large species. The reef is visited by nurse sharks, barracudas, eagle rays, thornback rays and sometimes turtles.
Particulars
Black Rock can only be reached by boat. Descend for a dive over the wide, shallow platform, which descends steeply from 5 to 30 meters. The reef of Black Rock is beautifully and capriciously shaped. Look into the many crevices, small caves and holes, in search of lobsters, lion fish and nurse sharks.
Warnings
Black Rock can sometimes be a bit challenging due to strong currents and high waves. The use of a surface buoy is mandatory on Curaçao.
