TORFET ALI
Egypte
The five dive sites of Torfet Ali are just a ten minute boat ride north of Port Ghalib. Each of these dive sites consists of overgrown reefs and beautiful steep drop-offs. One of the most beautiful spots here Torfet Abu Shash. This location is actually only accessible by powerful RIB. The area consists of a large sandbank with coral blocks and at the most northerly point is a large pinnacle. The other dive sites are interesting as well.
Particulars
Pipeline at driving you from north to south. You'll see eagle eyes, fusilier fish and coral formations with mostly soft corals. Villa (Kharafi) represents one of the most varied hard coral gardens in the area. Shaab Ghalib consists of slopes, a tiny little ravine, sandbars and coral beds, surrounded by large schools of lionfish and angel fish. Also special is HALG Nigma. This gap in the reef is named after a fisherman fable. There would be a star from the sky which has severed the reef. A shallow sandy plateau here runs off into unknown depths. Around you see your glass fish, hatchet fish and groupers.
