MARSA MURENA
Egypte
Marsa Murena is a bay between Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam. The site has a sandy bottom and a rather narrow entrance, which is only accessible when weather conditions are good. You dive here amongst some amazing reefs of which Torfet Badawia, Tarabesa and Shaab Shaab Bohar are the best known. This site has beautiful corals, sometimes turtles and manatees. If sea conditions are good, Marsa Murena is also a great place to snorkel.
Particulars
Torfet Badawia, a small lagoon north of the bay, is a must. You can reach this location by boat. Explore the beautiful landscapes, overhangs, table corals and sandbars. Shaab Tarabesa is named after a large table coral on a pinnacle, at 12 meters deep. The Shaab Boharis is named after the large schools of Bohar snappers who live here.
