Who hasn’t heart of the Giannis D? This Greek freighter ran in April 1983 into the reef. Then in two weeks time fell apart and sank. Giannis D. is the most dived wreck of Egypt. It lies 28 meters deep, angled to port, with the bridge in great condition and an engine room packed with glass fish. Because the load consisted of wood, it is also called The Wooden Wreck. The wreck is ideal for penetration. Make sure you have adequate training and be careful not to get dizzy because the wreck is diagonally.
