SHA'AB EL ERG
Egypte
Sha'ab El Erg has the shape of a horse's hoof. Around the reef are several shallow dive sites, going to a depth of 14 meters. You can find beautiful coral gardens at less than 5 meters deep and for most of the fish you don’t need to dive any deeper. A shallow dive site always has an optimal light. Sha’ab El Erg therefore attracts besides snorkelers also many underwater photographers. You can also see mantas, groupers and dolphins.
Particulars
Manta rays visit Sha'ab el Erg here especially in February and March. Dolphins can be seen in the lagoons all year round.
Warnings
Do not make physical contact with Sha'ab El Erg's marine life.
