ESMEER
Nederland, Gelderland
The Esmeer is a beautiful pond with a lot of fish. The depth varies, especially in the somewhat deeper sections. The most beautiful part of the Esmeer is the area with enormous clay formations, on the opposite of the entree point. This section can be reached by crossing the pond directly from the beach. This will take some effort, you' ll move from high to low via trenches, protrusions, clay blocks and walls.
Particulars
Park your car and cross the dike to reach the beach of dive site Esmeer. Now enter the water and make a roundabout along the banks until you get back to the entry point. You will pass a bare sandy bottom, large clay walls and several green zones full of small fish and occasionally a big pike or eel.
Warnings
Watch out for boats in summer season at dive site Esmeer. Don't make free ascends outside buoy line. Beware of car burglars.
