Katshaven South is a nice dive site but it takes quite a swim to reach deeper water. You'' ll be diving among sugar kelp, Japanese wire weeds and species of fish such as blennies, red mullet and butter fish. Katshaven South is also home to crabs, hermit crabs, flatfish and brittle stars. Your dive time here is limited to 40 minutes because of the short reversal.
Particulars
At Katshaven-Zuid the Japanese wire weeds and sugar kelp can become meters long. Best visibility at wind from the souteast.
Warnings
Boating channel, don’t make free ascents. Difficult entry at low tide, make sure to bring a rope. No diving with north or east wind stronger than force 4. Diving in the harbor is strictly forbidden.
