OOSTWATERING STEIGER

Oostwatering Steiger is a shallow winter dive site in Lake Veere. Diving in summer time isn't possible due to the heavy boat traffic. The site is located near a marina. Oostwatering Steiger is easily accessible. The site has a large parking lot within walking distance and a slowly sloping bottom at the entry point. Enter the water and dive over the sandy bottom full of mussel beds, overgrown with anemones. More at depth are several peat blocks where crabs can be seen. Other species common species at Oostwatering Steiger are nudibranchs, shrimp, flatfish, butterfish and pipefish. There is also plenty of room at Oostwatering Steiger for a pleasant get together after the dive.
Particulars
Oostwatering Steiger is located on the southwest side of Lake Veere in Polredijk. The site is located directly to the left of a long jetty. You can use the jetty to build up your set before entering the water.
Warnings
Diving during the boating season at Oostwatering Steiger is highly inadvisable . The site is located right next to a marina.
