RUINERWOLD
Nederland, Drenthe
Ruinerwold is a beautiful dive site with lots of fish and a beautiful underwater environment. Ruinerwold has several objects, such as a picnic table and a few small wrecks. The peat walls in the middle of the excavation and the tree-lined north and northwest sides are the most interesting areas. Permit required. Day and year permit available at the NNDF.
Particulars
Ruinerwold has several entry points. Close to the northernmost entry point are a picnic table and three small wrecks. Equally interesting are the peat walls in the middle of the excavation and the 'mangrove area' on the north and northwest sides. This habitat of roots and tree branches is the hunting ground of large pike.
Warnings
To dive in Ruinerwold a membership of NNDF is officially required. Diving on the south side is prohibited. The peat walls can be unstable.
