Seal Island is a small island at 5.7 km from False Bay, near Cape Town. The most common inhabitants at Seal Island are seals and great white sharks. Seal Island is also known as dive spot for cage diving under the name, Shark Cage Experience. Other common species are turtles, moray eels, rays, tiger sharks and guitar sharks.

Particulars

Seal Island is accessible from Simon's Town, Cape Town. The island can be reached by boat. Diving with seals is a special experience. The animals are beautiful, playful and agile. Follow the instructions of the captain or the diving school and enjoy this experience.

Warnings

Beware of bull sharks and white sharks at Seal Island.
