Millers Point is characterized by coral reefs interspersed with sandy bottoms and kelp forests. If you love kelp forests, this is the place to go. Swimming through the long kelp leaves you'll encounter multiple species, including large schools of fish and sometimes sharks. The rocks are the domain of octopuses and on the sandy bottom you'll encounter colorful starfish, anemones, nudibranchs and sea urchins. The best time to dive Millers Point is early morning or a little later in the evening.

Particulars

Enter Millers Point via a the small, sandy cove at the end of the Miller's Point tidal pool. You can walk down the boat ramp when it's calm and descend. Some divers prefer to swim out first to save air. Underwater you'll encounter rock formations, kelp forests and beautiful swim throughs.

Warnings

Always bring a buoy at Millers Point. There is very heavy boat traffic in this area. Don't enter the water in strong southeast winds. Lock your car tightly to keep out the baboons. Long walk from the parking lot. Don't venture too far offshore where large
