SWEET BOTTOM

Sweet Bottom is one of the dive sites of the Coral Restoration Foundation Curaçao. With special setups an attempt is made to cultivate different types of coral. If the plantation is large enough, it is placed back on the reef. You can work as a volunteer on the project through various diving schools.
Particulars
Sweet Bottom consists of a sandy bottom with dozens of set-ups, or nurseries, for the cultivation of coral species. Diving at Sweet Bottom is only possible through one of the affiliated diving schools. The coral has to be continuously cared for and that requires a lot of effort.
Warnings
Sweet Bottom is an official location of the Coral Restoration Foundation Curaçao. Diving at Sweet Bottom is only possible with permission of one of the affiliated diving schools. At Sweet Bottom the use of a diving buoy is mandatory.
