Wayaka 1 is a remote dive site in the Washington Slagbaai National Park in Bonaire. The site can only be reached by '4 wheel drive' and is closed in case of heavy rain fall. Wayaka has a lot to offer. It's in every way a beautiful dive site with a wide variety of marine life. You'll see sergeant majors, French emperor fish, rainbow parrot fish and much more.
Particulars
Follow the road from the parking to the stairway and enter Wayaka 1 from the sandy beach. The reef drops rapidly to more than 40 meters and is surrounded by ledges and sandy canals.
Warnings
In case of rain Wayaka 1 is sometimes closed. Ask if the road is open when you enter the park. Phones out of service area.
