Boka Katuna is a dive site in Washington Slagbaai Park on Bonaire, where there is not much diving. The site is difficult to reach from the shore and there is no buoy where you can anchor by boat. The reef descends slowly to a depth of 25 meters and is preceded by a sandy plain bottom where sometimes rays can be seen. On the reef you will find here and there coral formations, where the underwater life takes place.
Particulars
The entry point of Boka Katuna is difficult to reach. To reach the water you have to climb down the rocks. It's advisable to first lower your dive set on ropes and only then to start the descent.
Warnings
Only fit divers can reach Boka Katuna from the shore. First lower your set with a rope or choose a boat dive. Boka Katuna may be inaccessible after heavy rainfall. Chances of strong undercurrents in case of high waves.
