DIVER'S LEAP
Curaçao
Diver's Leap is a steep wall dive, perfect for a deep dive. The dive site owes its name to the jump you used to make to enter the water. Nowadays this dive site is no longer accessible from the shore. Make a boat dive. Apart from the steep wall, the shallow plateau is also worth a visit because seahorses are regularly spotted there. Larger species such as barracudas, mackerels and groupers are also found here.
Particulars
Diver's Leap is accessible by boat. Descend along the wall that at places slopes very steeply to a depth of 40 meters. You'll see large coral formations and beautiful sponges surrounded by a lush marine life. Barracudas, tarpons and sea bass regularly pass by here. The seahorses are mainly spotted on the shallow plateau, close to the mooring place.
Warnings
Diver's Leap can be a bit surprising. The current can sometimes increase and also change direction. The use of a surface buoy is mandatory at Diver's Leap.
