LOST ANCHOR
Curaçao
Lost Anchor is a wonderful dive site at the entrance of Caracas Bay on Curaçao. The reef slopes steeply and is beautifully overgrown. Dozens of species of reef fish thrive here among the coral. The site is named after a long anchor chain that runs up to 90 meters into the depths. The chain is nicely covered with sponges and corals.
Particulars
Anchor Point is located on the west side of Caracas Bay. It can be reached from the shore, but this is not recommended. A boat dive is more obvious here. Besides the anchor chain you will find beautiful soft corals that rock back and forth in the clear water.
Warnings
Lost Anchor is difficult to reach from the shore. Watch out for pleasure boating. The use of a surface buoy is mandatory on Curaçao.
