Scuba diving at the Blokkendam takes place on the outside of the curved dam. Or dive in a northerly direction along the beach, over the shellfish field. Sea dahlias, oysters, sea toads and butterfish thrive at this location. Diving at the Blokkendam is only possible in calm weather conditions.
Particulars
The Blokkendam is located in the North Sea near the Grevelingen. Park at the Brouwersdam and enter the water from the beach to the north of the curved pier. Swim out and dive a few meters away from the blocks to the end of the dam and back.
Warnings
The Blokkendam is officially a port. Never dive on the inside of the dam and watch out for pleasure boats. Only dive in calm weather conditions. Do not dive in westerly winds and high waves.
