Preekhil is a quiet dive site with an almost 'pristine' underwater nature and a beautiful wall full of Japanese oysters, sea anemones and sea squirt. The site is remote. You have to walk quite a distance from the car park on Blomweg to reach the entry point. A boat dive may be an alternative. Preekhil is one of the few dive sites on the northern side of the Grevelingen, so it actually belongs to the province of South Holland. Remarkably, visibility in Preekhil often differs from that of other dive sites in the Grevelingen. Beware, you are in a silence area accessible only from sunrise to sunset. Named after a spacious house overlooking Lake Grevelingen. Preekhil is also called de Val, not to be confused with dive site de Val in the Oosterschelde.
Particulars
Preekhil is in a remote nature reserve. Park on the Blomweg road. Then go through the gate and start the walk to the waterfront. There, enter the water from the embankment opposite the green buoy SP29. Bring a rope to make getting in and out of the water easier.
