Klein Curaçao Oost (Small Curaçao East) has a lot to offer to you as a diver. A rugged coastline, colorful reefs and nutrient-rich water that attracts a wide variety of marine life. Unfortunately, diving is only possible under very calm weather conditions. Klein Curaçao Oost is an uninhabited island with Lighthouse Klein Curaçao as the only real landmark. Not far from the lighthouse are two large shipwrecks, lying on the beach as witnesses of the wild east coast.
Particulars
Klein Curaçao can be reached by boat. The boat moors on the west coast after which you have to walk to the east side. Walk straight from the beach into the water for one of the most beautiful dives you've ever made. Large schools of fish inhabit this steep and colorful reef where shrimp, crabs, lobster, nurse sharks hide.
Warnings
Klein Curaçao is known for its strong currents and high waves. Diving experience and a good physical condition are required. Only dive under calm weather conditions and stay close to the reef. The use of a surface buoy is mandatory on Curaçao.
