NOORDBOUT 30
Nederland, Zeeland
The Noordbout is a less popular dive site than the Zuidbout. The bottom consists mainly of sand and silt, with some stones here and there. Flatfish live in the sand and between the stones of the dam, at around 15 meters (at low tide), you'll find crabs and lobsters. It's possible to make a drift dive from the Noordbout to the Zuidbout. Enter the water two hours before the turn of the tide and start your dive at rising tide.
Particulars
The North Bolt is entered at the head of the dam. Then choose your dive route.
Warnings
Don't dive at the Noordbout in southern wind, stronger than wind force 4. At low tide, many shellfish raiders may be present here. Long walk from the parking area.
