During the rescue work to free the twelve Thai football players and their trainer from the Tham Luang Nang Non cave complex in Thailand, a diver died. The rescue worker lost consciousness when placing oxygen masks along the potential escape route. The diver is the first deadly victim in the attempts to get the team out of the cave complex.
Boys still stuck in cave system
The man is a former Thai mariner who was part of the rescue team in Chiang Rai. He fainted on the way back after carrying out his task. One of his comrades tried to save him in vain. The twelve footballers and their coach have been stuck for more than twelve days in the Tham Luang Nang Non cave complex on the border with Myanmar and Laos.
