AIGUAFREDA
Spanje, Cantabria
Aiguafreda is a dive spot for the experienced diver. It's also a dive site with enough entertainment for non-divers. Dive along the rugged rocky coastline in search of cuttlefish, octopuses and other marine life. Aiguafreda also has three shafts or chimneys, which provide shelter for sea snails and crawfish. Take a local guide with you if you want to dive into the shafts.
Particulars
Aiguafreda is easily accessible. Enter the water from the beach or jump in from the small quay wall. Aiguafreda owes its name to the somewhat cold water. The water is always a bit colder than in the rest of the area.
Warnings
Take a local guide with you if you want to dive into the shafts. Sometimes a lot of boating, use a decoy buoy.
