Christ of the Abyss is a gigantic, 2000 kilo bronze statue of Jesus Christ, sunk off the coast of Key Largo in Florida. The statue lies in a shallow reef in John Pennekamp, Coral Reef State Park. It's one in a series of three, made by the Italian sculptor, Guido Galletti. The original 'Il Christo Degli Abissi' is located in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Genoa in Italy.

Christ of the Abyss is one of the most famous dive sites in this area because it's accessible for both divers and snorkelers. Large manta rays and thornback rays surround the image.
