DREISCHOR FRANS KOKRIF 5
Nederland, Zeeland
Dreischor Frans Kokrif is a popular dive site with a tangle of old dike remnants and beautifully overgrown reefballs. You'll find the reefballs just in front of the entry point. Look through the holes to discover what goes on there. Dreischor Frans Kokrif is home to lobsters, crabs, pipefish and much more. Lobsters are mostly spotted between the basalt blocks while flatfish and eels are commonly seen on the sandy bottom. A special feature is Dreischor's Hill. In this area, where relatively much sunlight penetrates, you experience Dreischor at its best. There are also several objects lying around that are now nicely overgrown. Dreischor Frans Kok reef is named after the first diving entrepreneur in Zeeland, Frans Kok.
Particulars
Dreischor Frans Kokrif has a beautiful jetty from which one can enter the water. Dive straight ahead to get to the reefballs, with JackieO's beautifully overgrown object behind it. The object lies in a gorge that runs parallel to the shore at a depth of 14 meters. It's home to dozens of fish, crabs and lobsters. Also visit the Heuvel van Dreischor. This is a beautiful reef full of colorful vegetation and an abundance of sea creatures. Swim from the jetty 10 minutes lightly to the right (5 to 10 degrees) to locate it. It's a hill, so you can't miss it. If you miss it anyway, then you probably swam too sharply to the right.
