The Slikken van Flakkee is a quiet, secluded dive site with a 'pristine' underwater nature. It's the Grevelingen at its best, with relatively few fish but remarkably many sea squirt in beautiful, fresh colors. Truly a place for lovers of tranquillity, nature and underwater photography. Striking at the Slikken van Flakkee is the beauty of the vegetation, especially under the jetty. The site is at its finest at a depth of 5 meters. Pay attention. This site is limited accessible after summer time.
Particulars
The Slikken van Flakkee can be reached via a dirt road which is open for traffic from 9 July until 4 September. Drive as far as you can and park at the waterfront. Enter the water next to the jetty if there are no boats around. You'll almost immediately reach a depth of 3 to 4 meters where most marine life can be seen. Dive right (north) or left (south). You can also enter the water from the small beach to be more safe.
Warnings
The entry point of the Slikken van Flakkee is accessible for cars from 9 July until 4 September. Trailer and jetty are used by pleasure boats and the department of Public Works. Make use of a decoy buoy if necessary or enter the water at the small beach t
