KLEINE STELLE 67
Nederland, Zeeland
Kleine Stelle is a popular dive site. This is partly due to the nearby camping, Klein Stelle, with diving facilities. The underwater world of Klein Stelle is beautiful. The dike and the sandy bottom are inhabited by a lot of marine life. Kleine Stelle is home to flatfish, lobsters, crabs and the bearded brotula and in certain seasons the place is literally swarming with nudibranchs.
Particulars
Park at Klein Stelle at the camping or along the road and enter the water via the stairs. Dive over the basalt stones that are beautifully overgrown until you reach the sandy parts of the dike at greater depths. The bearded brotula is mostly seen in deeper water, especially in December and January.
Warnings
Dive at Klein Stelle at high tide to avoid a long walk through shallow water. Currents can sometimes be treacherous. Don't dive all the way to the boat channel. The camping is crowded in summer time with divers and day-trippers.
