SLOTERPLAS OOSTOEVER
Nederland, Noord Holland
Sloterplas is a dive site full of fish, with several wrecks and peat walls. In 1965 the Cockelbockel was located here, it's Hollands oldest and most known underwater house. The Sloterplas is home to pike, carp, eels and Chinese mitten crabs. For many a nice dive site close to home, although the visibility can be disappointing at times.
Particulars
Enter the water from the stone quay to start your dive. Search for Chinese mitten crabs and crayfish near the clay wall and spot big carp on the south shore and at the jetty.
Warnings
Beware of pleasure boats and fishing gear. Let the fishermen know you are diving. Don't leave your car unguarded during a night dive.
