Stavenisse Haven, also called Stavenisse Steiger or Veerweg, is a beautiful dive site. Make a shallow dive to spot and photograph the marine life on the dike wall or start your dive at depth to see the rest of the dive area. Stavenisse Haven is excellent for spotting squid and cuttlefish. The site is home to alle sorts of small marine life hiding between the weeds in the shallows. In deeper water you'll see oyster
Particulars
Enter Stavenisse Haven via the boat ramp (tolerated) next to the fishing pier. Then dive eastward with the dike wall on your right. The wall is nicely overgrown with algae, oysters and orange colony-forming sea squirt. More to the north you'll find a sandy bottom with rocks, oyster beds, flat fish and lobsters.
Warnings
Don't make free ascents at Stavenisse Have when diving a little further out from shore. Diving in Stavenisse Haven with a strong western or southwestern wind is not advisable. Visibility may be very poor and it may be hard to enter the water. Boat ramp ma
